THE GOSPEL
The Gospel is the good news of God's kingdom, and the gift of salvation given to us through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. As believers, we’re informed to go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone [Mark 16:15].

How do we spread the Gospel?

Step 1: Pray & Read (Preparation)
In order to go out into the world and effectively tell others about the gospel, we must equip ourselves with the word of God in order to understand the will of God. Having a prayer life and spending time with the Lord is important!! The power of prayer invites God’s divine nature into your life. I would encourage you to read the New Testament, you can start with John-Ephesians. If you’re serious about equipping yourself with God’s word, I would recommend reading both the Old and New Testaments. Pray and ask the Lord to give you revelation, and proper understanding so that you can move according to his will.
Prayer Points:
Step 2: Walk in Love
God (also referred to as Yahweh) is love. The Lord tells us to love one another as he has loved us, by this all will know that you are his disciples if you have love for one another [Ref: John 13:34-35]. We must learn to meet people where they are regardless of the season they’re in, their lifestyle, or decisions. Be a light in this world, despite how dark it might seem. Show the same love, mercy, and grace to others, just as God have shown you. Abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love [Ref: 1 Corinthians 13:13].
“Let all that you do be done with love.” [I Corinthians 16:14]
“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. [I John 4:8]
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” [Mark 12:30-31]
“Let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.” [1 John 4:7-11]
Step 3: Begin With God
God created the universe and everything in it, including you. Describe God’s character (he’s loving, merciful, holy, faithful, righteous), talk about God’s Kingdom, his will for us on Earth, as well as his eternal promises.
“As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless he shields all who take refuge in him” [Psalm 18:30].
“God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” [I Corinthians 1:9]
“God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” [I John 4:8-11]
Step 4: Explain Sin
We’ve all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Our sins separate us from God, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Ref: Romans 6:23) . Read the scriptures below for a clearer understanding.
“When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. [Romans 5:12-21]
“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. [Romans 5:6-8]
Step 5: Proclaim Jesus Christ
Jesus (also referred to as Yeshua Hamashiach in Hebrew) is the son of God, the gift of salvation to us from God, he is the ultimate sacrifice and atonement for our sins. Jesus died for all of us so that sin could no longer separate us from God and his Kingdom. Through Jesus there is eternal life. Remember that we can't earn salvation, it is a free gift.
“God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.” [1 John 4:9-10, 12]
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” [John 10:9-10]
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” [Ephesians 2:8-10]
Step 6: Finish With Faith
Remember that all things work together for good, for those who love God and are called according to his purpose. Continue to walk with the Lord, draw closer to him, and remember his eternal promises, storing your treasures in heaven. The Lord will be the one to finish the work He has started in you until He comes back again!
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” [Psalms 32:8]
Message From Writer [Kiana]:
Normally when I tell people about the gospel and the word of God in general, the Holy Spirit will lead me to scriptures to share, specific things to say, and how to pray for an individual. There has been times when I’ve shared the gospel with someone, and hours that seemed like minutes would pass by. When sharing God’s word, you will begin to notice that you’re learning and gaining new revelation as well; it’s an exciting feeling. You can begin to share the gospel with friends and family, this way you can train yourself up. Although you may not realize it, people can sometimes sense your zeal and passion whether you’re giving your testimony, praying, or sharing God’s word with them. I would like to encourage you to continue doing as the Lord wills; establishing his kingdom here on Earth, walking by faith, love, practicing our authority, and completing our assignment here on Earth.
PRAYER
The word of God says: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. [Romans 10: 9-10]
SALVATION PRAYER:
Jesus, I surrender to you, I recognize that I am a sinner and need a savior. I believe that you, Jesus Christ of Nazareth are the son of God, the Messiah. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I accept you as my Lord and savior, thank you for dying for me. I ask that you will forgive me for any sins I’ve committed through thoughts, words, and deeds, knowingly and unknowingly (insert direct confession/forgive others). Come into my heart, fill me with your Holy Spirit, and help me to be more like you. In Jesus name I pray, amen!
LORD’S PRAYER:
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. [Ref: Matthew 6:9-14]

HELPFUL TIPS
•Remember that God is in control and has the final say, don’t get discourage when you don’t see the fruits of your labor. The word of God is powerful & effective regardless of who chooses to deny or accept it. By sharing the word of God, you are sowing, planting, and watering a seed within an individual. The Bible states that:
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” [Hebrews 4:12]
- Allow the Holy Spirit to guide, teach, and instruct you
- Be led by The Spirit and pay attention to God’s voice. The stronger your relationship with God is, the easier it is to hear His voice.
- Do not forget to tell that person how much God loves him/her. Make sure he/she understands that God’s love is unconditional.
- Walk in love, you are a reflection of God’s love to the world.
- Keep it simple and easy for people to understand.
- Pray for those that you will share the gospel with.
- Don’t be pushy, you are just sowing a seed. It is The Holy Spirit’s job to grow that seed.
- If the person accepts Jesus as His love and savior, connect him or her to a local church (If they want). Remember, he/she is just a newborn Christian and will need help in order to grow.
- Don’t get into arguments. Sometimes people’s hearts are hardened and they won’t receive the good news of the gospel.
- Share your testimony (What the Lord has done for you)
•Be bold and courageous, equipping yourself with the full armor of God. Remember that Christ’s grace is sufficient for you, and his power is made perfect in your weakness.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” [Ephesians 6:11-20]
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” [2 Corinthians 12:9]
•Continue to seek Jesus Christ and develop a personal relationship with him. The Lord love and cares for you; remember that we’re storing our treasures in heaven and eternity with our creator awaits us.
Reminder:
GOD LOVES US
JESUS HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD
STORE YOUR TREASURES IN HEAVEN
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
